UVC is a proven, powerful, defensive system especially when used with another natural component, TiO2 (Titanium Dioxide). TiO2 is installed close to our 254 nanometer UVC light tube emitter, which when activated increases effective sanitation by over 20 times. When intense UVC meets a virus, it diffuses the protein coating, damaging the virus’s RNA. UVC at high concentrations, even with short exposure rates, can also destroy the virus’ capsid, its exterior protein shell, by a “process in which nucleic acid within the virus particle plays a crucial role in the absorption of UVC radiation and in virus inactivation.”
